FDOT District 5 CEI Group 199 (Prime CEI)

Group 199 is a collection of two projects in Orange County

❖ SR 527 from Prince Street to Mandalay Road

❖ SR 527/S Orange Avenue from Grant Street to Gore Street

FDOT D5 CEI Group 187 – SR 520 from west of WB off ramp onto SR 50 to west of SR 528 WB off ramp (Prime CEI)

❖ The primary improvements under this project consisted of milling and resurfacing, restoration, and rehabilitation of SR 520 from south of SR 50 to north of SR 528, a distance of approximately 8.15 miles in Orange County. Additional improvements under this project included the cross-slope correction with variable depth milling at WB SR 520, the construction of new turnout, drainage modification to improve the front slope at various locations along SR 520, signalization improvement at Maxim Parkway Intersection, new signage throughout the project, performance turf, shoulder improvement with a 2’-8” sod treatment per Index 570-010, traffic monitoring site at Sta. 80+95.00, permanent thermoplastic pavement marking with an 8” cylindrical ground in rumble strips to provide audible and vibratory treatment (AVT) on SR 520 flush-shoulders.

FDOT CEI Group 189 SR 44

❖ FDOT CEI Group 189 SR 44 over St. Johns River, Bridge #110063 Barracuda Blvd. from Quay Assisi to the Middle Way. We served as a Subconsultant on this project providing Inspection support staff.

CFX SR 417 Widening from E4 Canal to Aloma Avenue (Project No.: 417-134)

❖ The project included roadway widening, new construction of SB 417 University on Ramp, milling & resurfacing, drainage improvement, CIP/Precast sound walls, barrier walls, SB SR 417 bridge widening over University Boulevard, lighting, overhead sign structure replacements, signing and pavement markings, and ITS improvements. The work also included a modification of the University Mainline Toll Plaza Canopy to add a third lane in each direction for the open road tolling. Construction Cost: $45 M

Turnpike Widening from South of Osceola Parkway to Beachline Expressway:

❖ This project consisted of the widening and reconstruction of Florida’s Turnpike from Osceola Parkway to the Beachline Expressway. Within this 8- lane section of the Turnpike, the northbound and southbound directions each consisted of two 12’ express lanes separated from two 12’ general purpose toll lanes by a 4’ buffer with express lane markers.Other improvements associated with this project included the construction of three ramps at the Turnpike/SR 417 interchange. These ramps include Ramp A2 (northbound Turnpike to westbound SR 417), Ramp C2 (southbound Turnpike to eastbound SR 417), and Ramp D1 (southbound Turnpike to westbound SR 417). Improvements associated with this project also include the reconstruction and widening of the Osceola Parkway and Orlando South Interchange exit/entry ramps. Construction Cost: $168 Million. We served as a Subconsultant on this project providing Inspection support staff.
